How to use Ynara

Getting around the app

A quick tour of the five places you'll spend your time, on iPhone, Apple Watch, and Mac.

Capturing

Get a thought out of your head and into your memory in seconds.

1

Open Capture

Tap the Capture tab and choose what you're saving — a Note, Photo, Video, or Voice memo. You can switch types at any time before you save.

2

Add the details that matter

Give it a title and a few words. Optionally add a feeling and tags — these help Ynara group related memories later and make them easier to find.

3

Record a voice or video memo

Choose Voice or Video and tap Record. Ynara asks for microphone (and camera) access the first time you actually record — never before — so permissions only appear when you need them.

4

Save it

Tap Save and the memory drops into your Library and onto your Memory Palace canvas. That's it — capture is meant to be fast.

The Oracle

Your daily reflection — what Ynara noticed in what you captured.

1

Open with the Oracle

Ynara opens to the Oracle, a calm daily briefing. As your memories grow, it surfaces a hero reflection plus today's signals — patterns, gentle prompts, and things worth revisiting.

2

Just getting started?

A brand-new memory starts empty on purpose — no fake data. Capture a few thoughts and the Oracle begins reflecting them back within a day.

3

Ask from the Oracle

Tap the Ask bar to jump straight into a conversation with your memories (more on that below).

Memory Palace

See and shape the connections between your thoughts.

1

Explore the canvas

The Memory Palace lays your memories out as glowing nodes on an infinite canvas. Pan and zoom to wander through everything you've captured.

2

Link two memories

Drag from one node to another to draw a connection. Use links to tie a person to a place, an idea to the moment it sparked, or anything that belongs together in your head.

3

Remove a link — with undo

Tap a line to delete that connection. Made a mistake? An Undo appears so an accidental removal is never permanent.

4

Open and pin

Tap a node to read the full memory. Pin the important ones so they rise to the top of your Library and Oracle.

Ask your memories

A private conversation with everything you've captured.

1

Ask in plain language

Type a question like “What was on my mind this week?” or “What did I note about Mara?” Ynara reads your memories and answers in a natural, conversational way.

2

Follow the thread

Answers stream in as a chat, and Ynara offers follow-up prompts so you can dig deeper without retyping context.

3

Entirely on-device

On supported devices, Ynara uses Apple Intelligence running on your device to phrase answers. Your memories are never sent to a server or an outside model.

Apple Watch

Capture and reflect from your wrist.

1

Capture on the go

Open the Watch app, jot a quick title and note on the Capture page, and tap Save memory. It syncs to your iPhone and Mac automatically.

2

Glance at the Oracle

The Oracle page shows today's hero reflection and top signals, sized for a quick look.

3

Browse what's recent

The Recent page lists your latest memories so you can revisit a thought without reaching for your phone.

Library, settings & your data

Find anything, set the mood, and take your memories with you.

📚

Library & filters

The Library holds every memory. Search, filter by type (Photo, Video, Voice, Note…) or time range, and jump to your Pinned section for the essentials.

🌙

Appearance

In Profile, choose System, Light, or Dark. Ynara applies your choice across iPhone and Mac.

☁️

Sync & privacy

Your memories sync through your own iCloud — no account to create. Nothing is stored on our servers, and the intelligence runs on your device.
