Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
The short version: Recon6 Studios builds private-by-design apps. Our native apps keep your data on your device and in your own iCloud. Our web services only collect what they need to operate (for example, sign-in and billing). We don’t sell your data or run ads.
1. Who we are
This policy applies to Recon6 Studios (“Recon6”, “we”, “us”) and our products and services, including:
- This website at recon6studios.app
- Our mobile and desktop apps (for example, LiftIron, Ynara, Vinyl Folders)
- Our web apps and online services (for example, PostLedger)
- Client work we deliver under separate agreements
Some apps have product-specific privacy policies with more detail. Where those apply, they supplement this policy:
2. Native apps (LiftIron, Ynara, and similar)
Our Apple-platform apps are designed so that your content stays on your devices and in your personal iCloud via Apple’s CloudKit. We do not operate our own servers for that app data and cannot access your workouts, notes, or other content you store in those apps.
See each app’s privacy policy for permissions (for example, location, HealthKit, or microphone) and how data is stored.
3. Website (recon6studios.app)
When you visit our website, our hosting provider (for example, Cloudflare) may process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages, and approximate region. We use this only to deliver the site, protect against abuse, and understand aggregate traffic — not to profile you for advertising.
We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this marketing site unless we clearly disclose them here in a future update.
4. Web apps and online services (PostLedger and similar)
When you use a Recon6 web service that requires an account or sign-in, we may collect and store information needed to provide that service, such as:
- Account identifiers — for example, your X (Twitter) user ID and public username when you sign in with OAuth
- Service data — for example, synced post metrics, dashboard settings, and usage timestamps
- Email address — if you provide one for reports, support, or notifications
- Billing information — processed by Stripe; we receive subscription status, not full card numbers
For services that connect to X, we request only the OAuth scopes shown at sign-in (for example, reading your own posts). We do not access your direct messages, password, or other accounts’ private data unless a product explicitly requests and discloses additional scopes.
Transactional email (for example, weekly reports) may be sent through providers such as Resend. Those providers process recipient addresses and message content on our behalf.
5. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our products
- Authenticate you and sync your data across sessions
- Process subscriptions and send service-related messages
- Respond to support requests
- Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your app or account data for third-party advertising.
6. How long we keep information
We retain web-service data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward so you can restore access or resolve billing issues. You may request deletion of web-service account data by contacting us (see Section 10).
Native app data you store in iCloud is controlled by you through Apple’s settings and each app’s product policy.
7. Sharing with third parties
We share information only with service providers that help us run our products, such as:
- Apple — iCloud/CloudKit, App Store, and platform services for native apps
- X — when you choose to sign in or connect an X-integrated product
- Stripe — payment processing for paid web plans
- Hosting and email providers — for website delivery and transactional email
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect web-service data (for example, encrypted connections, access controls, and secure credential storage). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Your choices
- Native apps: control permissions in iOS/macOS Settings; delete app data on device or in iCloud as described in each app’s policy.
- Web services: disconnect OAuth access in the product or in your X account settings; cancel subscriptions via Stripe customer portal where available; contact us to request account deletion.
- Email: unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in the message, where provided.
10. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. International users
We are based in the United States. If you use our services from other regions, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the revised policy.
