How do I correct a workout or cardio entry I logged wrong?

For sets during an active workout, tap the red minus control next to the set, or swipe to delete. For saved cardio, open the entry from the Activities list and choose Edit or Delete.

Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?

Your data is stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). As long as iCloud is enabled, it's backed up by Apple and kept in sync across your iPhone, Apple Watch, and Mac. We never store your data on our own servers.

My devices aren't syncing. What should I check?

Make sure each device is signed into the same iCloud account, that iCloud Drive is on, and that the devices have a network connection. Syncing can take a moment after a workout finishes.

Why won't the Apple Watch show my live heart rate?

Live heart rate requires granting LiftIron access to Health, and it only appears on a physical Apple Watch (the Simulator doesn't generate heart-rate data). Check Settings → Health → Data Access to confirm permissions.

I can't hear the cardio voice updates over my music.

Voice updates lower (duck) your music while speaking, then restore it. Make sure media volume is up, your earbuds are connected, and that Voice updates are enabled in Settings → Cardio. Voice ducking is most noticeable on a physical device.

How are calories calculated?

Calories are estimated from your profile (body weight, and where provided height, age, and sex) combined with the activity's intensity and duration. On Apple Watch with Health access, cardio calories use your measured heart rate and active energy for better accuracy.

How do I export my data?

Go to Settings → Export Data, choose CSV or JSON, tap Prepare Export, then share the file. Your full history is yours to keep.

Does LiftIron require an account or subscription?

No account and no login. Your data stays in your iCloud, so there's nothing to sign up for.
