How to use Vinyl Folders
Put your music in folders on a Windows PC, copy to iPhone with a USB cable, and play offline. No account needed.
Before you start
Install Vinyl Folders on Windows (optional helper)
Download Vinyl Folders for Windows to organize folders and zip playlists before copying to iPhone.
Install Vinyl Folders on iPhone
Get Vinyl Folders from the App Store.
Organize your music on PC
Create one folder per playlist — for example Christian and Workout. Put .mp3 or .m4a files inside each folder.
Option A — ZIP (recommended)
Faster when you have many songs.
Zip each folder on PC
Right-click a folder → Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder. You get files like Christian.zip and Workout.zip.
Connect iPhone with USB
Unlock your phone and tap Trust if asked.
Open Apple Devices (or iTunes)
Select your iPhone → Apps or File Sharing → choose Vinyl Folders → add your .zip files to Documents.
Import on iPhone
Open Vinyl Folders → Import tab → tap Import Now. Each zip becomes a playlist folder. Zips are removed after extraction.
Play
Go to Home, tap a folder, and press Play All.
Option B — Folders directly
Skip zipping if you prefer.
Add folders via File Sharing
Same as above, but drag entire folders (not zips) into Vinyl Folders’s Documents area in Apple Devices / iTunes.
Tap Import Now
Vinyl Folders scans Documents and lists each folder on Home.
Supported formats
MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, and more. iOS plays most common formats; FLAC support varies by device.
