Privacy Policy

The short version: LiftIron-HP has no app account of its own. Workouts and protein logs stay on your devices and can sync via your Apple iCloud. We don’t sell your data or run advertising trackers in the app.
1. Who this applies to
This policy describes how the LiftIron-HP app (“LiftIron-HP”, “we”, “us”), published by Recon6 Studios / Michael Simms, handles information on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. By using LiftIron-HP, you agree to this policy.
2. Data we collect and how it’s stored
Information you enter or generate in the app may include:
- Profile details (e.g. body weight, height, age, sex, lifting style, protein and calorie targets)
- Protein and food logs (names, amounts, macros when available)
- Workouts, sets, templates, and related training history
- Manual cardio sessions you choose to log
This data is stored on your device using Apple’s frameworks (SwiftData). When iCloud is enabled for the app, it may sync through your own private iCloud (CloudKit) associated with your Apple ID.
We do not operate a LiftIron-HP user account system or our own database of your workouts. We cannot browse your training log on our servers.
3. Health & HealthKit
With your permission, LiftIron-HP may use Apple HealthKit to:
- Read body weight (and related metrics you allow) to help set protein targets
- Write workout-related data if you enable Health sync features
HealthKit data stays under Apple’s Health protections on your devices. We do not use Health data for advertising. You can revoke access in Settings → Health.
4. Camera & photos
If you use barcode scan or food photo features, the camera or photo library is used on-device to help identify foods. Images are processed for that purpose; we do not operate a photo-upload social network.
5. Network services you may trigger
- Apple iCloud / CloudKit — sync and storage under your Apple ID. Governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Open Food Facts — if you look up a barcode or product, a request may be sent to Open Food Facts to retrieve public food data. See Open Food Facts privacy information.
- WatchConnectivity — optional transfer of snapshots and quick logs between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch.
6. What we don’t do
- No LiftIron-HP login or password of our own
- No advertising SDKs or sale of your personal training data
- No GPS route tracking in LiftIron-HP (cardio is manual calorie/entry style)
7. Purchases
If you buy optional Pro features through the App Store, payment is handled by Apple. We receive purchase status as needed to unlock features; we do not receive your full payment card details.
8. Children’s privacy
LiftIron-HP is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 on our own servers.
9. Your control & deletion
Delete entries in the app at any time. To remove app data entirely, delete the app and, if desired, remove LiftIron-HP data from iCloud in your device settings. Because we don’t host your workout database, there is nothing on our servers to erase on request beyond ordinary site/email correspondence.
10. This website
Pages on recon6studios.app may be served via standard web hosting (e.g. Cloudflare). Hosts may log typical request metadata (IP, user agent). That is separate from data inside the LiftIron-HP app.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will show a new “Last updated” date here. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
